Veterinary Exam

Regular veterinary exams provide you the chance to discuss any changes in your pet's health.

Veterinary exams must be on every pet parent’s annual to-do list. These routinely conducted exams are the first steps to keeping your loyal companion healthy and happy. During the exam, a veterinarian thoroughly examines your pet, including their eyes, ears, and skin. They also check neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities. Based on the physical examination, they might conduct bloodwork, urinalysis or other diagnostic tests.

Are veterinary exams conducted only once a year?

Veterinary exams can be conducted more than once a year. They are conducted when veterinarians look to diagnose a condition and identify underlying causes. Senior pets or chronically ill pets often need more frequent exams to track their health.

Are X-rays a part of veterinary exams?

Based on the physical exam and existing conditions, a veterinarian might suggest an X-ray to understand and diagnose what illness is affecting your pet. If the vet doesn’t find a cause for concern, extra diagnostic tests would not be recommended.
