What does digital radiology mean? Is it harmful to my pet?

Digital radiology is an advanced form of X-ray that instantly produces a digital copy of the X-ray on a computer. It differs from traditional X-rays as it uses less radiation and has a higher-quality image. Because it emits less radiation, it is a safe and non-invasive diagnostic tool.

Should my dog urinate before an ultrasound exam?

Ultrasound results are better when the urinary bladder is full. You should discourage your pet from urinating 3 to 6 hours before the exam. Keep litter boxes closed and avoid taking your pet on a walk. For small animals, carry them into the office, and for large dogs on a leash, who like to ‘mark’ their territory, encourage them to move along quickly.

Does my pet need anesthesia to get an X-ray done?
