Dr. Madonna Mesher

Dr. Mesher grew up in rural Cape Breton, the daughter of a carpenter and a school teacher. During her childhood years, Dr. Mesher and her siblings shared their home with our much-loved companion pets. Her parents were kind enough to often overlook the obvious new stray animal that she would sneak into the family group of pets. This event has continued to be a habit for me.

Dr. Mesher acquired her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from St. Francis Xavier University. she continued her education at the Ontario Veterinary College to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. After graduating Dr. Mesher was very happy to return to Cape Breton to implement her skills. Dr. Mesher’s interest is Small Animal Medicine. Dr. Mesher feels privileged to continue her work with a fantastic complement of supportive staff at the Sydney Animal Hospital.
